Michael Phillips Landscapes West, Inc. has been in the landscaping business for over 28 years. We are a top award-winning Landscape Company with the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), Sacramento Chapter. Michael is a past president of the Chapter and served as a board member for many years. Michael also served on the board of directors for the Roseville Urban Forest Foundation (RUFF). As a Certified Arborist and Water Auditor, Michael helped author the original storm water runoff prevention guidelines for the city of Sacramento (now utilized by all the neighboring cities). The City of Sacramento nominated Michael, and he was a winner, of the Business Environmental Resource Center Award (BERC) for Environmentally Sound Business Practices. He continues to attend educational classes including Bay Friendly Landscape Management to better his company’s maintenance division, which maintains properties whose watersheds run into lakes, rivers, and streams. We practice organic and integrated pest management as well as utilizing water saving technologies.
